Alluring Halter Top

Sizes: 34" (38", 42", 46", 50", 54", 58")

Gauge: Stockinette stitch: 3½ sts per inch on size 10 needles or the size needed to achieve gauge

Materials:
ILLUSION yarn by South West Trading Company 3(4,4, 4,5,5,5)
Circular needle in the size needed to achieve gauge.

Pattern: Moss Stitch:

Row 1: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat across row.

Row 2 for even number of stitches: * k 1, p 1 *, repeat across row.

Row 2 for odd number of stitches: * p 1, k 1 *, repeat across.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 for pattern.

Body:

CO 120 (134, 148, 162, 176, 190, 204). Join to first stitch, without twisting stitches. Moss stitch for 1 inch. Continue in Stockinette stitch until piece measures 11" (11½", 12", 12½", 13", 13½", 14"). Place marker and p1, k1 across 60 stitches. Place marker. You should have 60 (74, 88, 102, 116, 130, 144) stitches remaining to form the front. Maintain ribbing on the back and Stockinette on the front for two more rounds. Bind off 60 back stitches.

Front:

Row 1: p1, k1, p2 together, k across to last 3 sts, p, k, p

Row 2: k1, p1, k2 together, p across to last 3 sts. k, p, k

Repeat rows 1 and 2

Continue until the front is 19" (19½", 22", 33½", 25", 26½", 28").

Neckband:

Measure neck. Measure length of clasp. Subtract clasp measurement from neck measurement. This is the length to knit the neckband. CO 5 stitches and knit in Moss stitch until length matches the length determined from measuring. Bind off.

Finishing:

Attach clasp to the ends of neckband. Attach neckband. Weave in all ends.
