Jump to submit form Sunday, July 22, 2012Name: Sharon Subject: new clothing knitter Comment: I'm working on my first garmet piece, the Adeline Bolero from your site. I never imagined it could be this much fun! (also, it's the first thing I've knitted for myself in two years. I've been knitting for three.) Thank you so much for bringing together so many great patterns that new knitters young and old can actually understand. I hope your site yields much more good works. God Bless, Monday, July 16, 2012Name: karen Subject: may need help Comment: i love knitting but i find i get to a part and get discouraged because i get stuck on what to do. i find i get discouraged very easy.my mom and i use to knit all the time and she would help me when i was stuck now that she passed away i dont have anyone to help me so i put it down.i tried to make a sweater and have had to rib it apart twice because of the arm hole opening ugh. i will try to get back into it but who knows Friday, June 22, 2012Name: Mother Hen Subject: Dear Webmistress Comment: This is a great site only just found it. Knitted longer than I care to think of. It gives me a very happy feeling to see so many young people knitting. Ive taught quite a few people over time one was my son when he was four years old.I thought that knitting was dieing out but now Isee its alive and thriving ''going back a few years it was mostly very young people who knitted etc'. The older people just picked it back up in their retirements as something to keep fingers busy. Thank you again Thursday, June 21, 2012Name: Mrs.Mousie Subject: DPNS are soo much fun Comment: Hi I'm back. I'm so exited!! I just finished a baby hat for my sisters new daughter-- and its done with DPNS!! I didn't realize its acluy so EASY!! Sure there are extra needles in the DPNS they look confuzing but there are only 2 "working" ones. After finishing the hat I still have some yarn left over so I'm trying to DPN in 2 colors!! I love getting more "fancy with knitting" only bad thing is I some how keep "dropping" stiches (the needle keeps coming out!) Well, Ill go for now.. Happy Knitting To All Friday, June 01, 2012Name: June Subject: Keep on Knitting.. Comment: I constantly pestered my mother to teach me knitting whenever she was at it,but being a Lefty she couldn't so she sent me to the maid. This clever woman put me in the windowsill across from her and started to show me the art. That was before I even went to school. Now at 57 I can understand patterns and taught myself to crochet also. This wonderful site is new to me though. I'm so glad to read about young ones who has discovered the art and wish them all much success. Keep at it people and don't head people who mock you. you can do something they can't. Blessings to you for your craft. To the creator of this website, a big thank you, it's much appreciated. Monday, April 30, 2012Name: Corrie Subject: Prayer Shawls Comment: My mom taught me to knit at age 15. I have knitted off and on for many of my 70 years. I have never had my knitting appreciated like it has been since I started a Prayer Shawl group at my church. The Lord has taken it over and it has become more than I ever dreamed it would be. We started with two people and now have almost 20, many of which we taught to knit. Some crochet the shawls also. We give them to bring comfort to those who hearts are breaking because of illness or lost of a loved one. When they put the shawls around them, we hope they can feel God's arms surrounding them I encourage knitters to start a Prayer Shawl Group. Monday, April 30, 2012Name: mary mc connell Subject: Thanks you webmistress Comment: I taught my twin nephews to crochet when they were 8 yrs old and they LOVED it. I know that in the future they will remember how to do it and make things for themselves. Monday, April 16, 2012Name: Nicki Kennedy Subject: Knitting for charity Comment: Hi there, I've been knitting for years, my mom taught me how to, and I was knitting for a place that helps out unwed mothers, well, my efforts weren't being appreciated, and I love animals, so I started knitting for my local animal shelter, and they love it! I don't know who loves the blankets more, the animals, or the workers. It makes me feel good to know that I'm helping to make the lives of the homeless animals a little more "softer" they have something warm, and soft to sleep on, and that way, I sleep better at night as well. If you want to crochet, or knit for a charity, look into your local animal shelter, I guarantee it will be more than appreciated. Thank you. Wednesday, April 04, 2012Name: Karen G R Subject: Hurrah!!! Knitters unite! Comment: I have gotten upset alot lately because, while my friends think that it is cool that I knit, most connect knitting with old ladies. When you are 16, that's not good! But I was looking at the comments, people of all ages, and both genders, and I think of seeing people, again, all over the radar, knitting. To teens who knit and worry: ENJOY IT! You knit for a reason: you enjoy it! One person being silly at school can't deter you. Just think of the look on someone's face when you make something for them. That makes all the dummies more than worth it. Wednesday, April 04, 2012Name: Mia Subject: <3 Comment: Hey, my name is Mia Allsebrooke and i'm 11 years old. I started knitting 2 years ago. And now I call my self a pro. (but i'm not) Knitting is fun and I encourage anyone that has free-time in their hands to try it. Odds are you will love it.
